Yidiandian: The "Dream Takeoff Point" public welfare project funds and renovation costs are not publicly raised, and support for children is not limited by gender.
On February 28th, the official account of Yidian Dian issued a statement. It stated that recently, our Dream Launch Point Public Welfare Project has attracted online attention and discussion. We highly value everyone’s doubts and concerns, and have promptly verified the entire project process. We now solemnly address the issues everyone cares about and sincerely thank all sectors of society for their supervision.
Yidian Dian, while developing, also emphasizes giving back to society. In 2018, we established a Public Welfare Department at our Shanghai headquarters and set up public welfare officers in various regions across the country to promote sustainable development of public welfare. We adhere to the philosophy of “Rooted Downward, Sprouting Upward,” and are dedicated to helping children in difficulty and stray animals, launching two major projects: “Dream Launch Point” and the “Care Plan for Fur Kids.”
Since its launch in 2023, the “Dream Launch Point” public welfare project has all support funds and renovation costs jointly borne by the headquarters and regional companies at a 50/50 ratio, with no third-party sharing or public fundraising. The beneficiaries are local low-income, low-income, and children from families in poor living conditions. The entire process involves on-site visits and verification by local government departments and public welfare workers. After multiple joint reviews confirm the families’ eligibility, the company uniformly carries out old house renovations to ensure that aid resources are accurately directed to families truly in need.
Under the guidance of local governments and public welfare organizations, this project has visited thousands of struggling families and successfully created dedicated learning and living spaces for 213 children in difficulty, including 119 girls’ rooms and 94 boys’ rooms.
In response to public concern and the concept of social participation, the Yidian Dian mini-program launched on June 1, 2024, and opened the “Fur Kids Care Plan Public Support.” To encourage more participation, the “Dream Launch Point Public Support” activity officially went live in January 2026, and after completing related renovations and distributions in early April, a unified public announcement will be made.
We would like to clarify two core misunderstandings circulating online:
Misunderstanding about “not being truly in difficulty” of the supported families
The watch worn by the children was purchased collectively by relatives of the children. Due to the father’s health issues, the children occasionally need to go to their grandmother’s house. To contact family members promptly and ensure safety during travel, the watch was purchased. The DJI camera belongs to a volunteer accompanying the team. The comic was personally purchased by a volunteer after learning of the child’s wish, as a gift. All supported families have been verified on-site by government and public welfare agencies and are indeed families living in poor housing conditions with actual renovation needs, not randomly selected.
Misunderstanding about “funds for helping girls being used for boys”
This project supports children regardless of gender. The “Dream Launch Point” project includes a dedicated support program called “Girls’ Peace Pack.” Relevant activities and descriptions have been publicly disclosed during the announcement.
The road of public welfare is long and arduous. We will provide more detailed project disclosures. Going forward, we will fully and transparently publish basic information of supported families (with privacy protected), visit and verification records, before-and-after comparisons of house renovations, sources of materials, and other content, actively accepting supervision from all sectors of society. We remain committed to our original intention of public welfare, diligently doing practical support work, and humbly accepting all reasonable supervision and suggestions. Thank you for your understanding, tolerance, and supervision. We will continue to act practically to fulfill our social responsibilities.
We sincerely thank all past and future partners who have dedicatedly participated in these activities, and every child we care for and support. You are the future of our country and the hope of our nation. Your pure and resilient smiles deeply remind us of the weight and difficulty of life, and make us truly value the preciousness of kindness.
At the same time, we also feel deeply sorry. Due to external public opinion storms, you have borne misunderstandings and grievances that you should not have. We will remember this guilt in our hearts and protect your growth and dignity with more cautious attitudes and warmer actions.
