Odaily Planet Daily reports that cybersecurity company Moonlock Lab’s latest report shows hackers are using the “ClickFix” attack method to impersonate venture capital firms and carry out cryptocurrency scams. The scammers impersonate VC firms like SolidBit, contact potential victims via LinkedIn, and lure them to click on fake meeting links to execute malicious code.

At the same time, the Chrome extension “QuickLens” has been hijacked to steal crypto wallet data and seed phrases. The “ClickFix” technique is particularly dangerous because it tricks users into executing malicious commands themselves, bypassing normal security protections. Security experts warn that such attacks have targeted multiple industries since 2024, affecting thousands of devices worldwide daily. (Cointelegraph)
