Hong Kong’s “New Capital Investor Entry Scheme” (“New Scheme”) has been popular among high-net-worth individuals worldwide and has attracted capital inflows into Hong Kong since its launch in March 2024. By the end of February 2026, the Invest Hong Kong agency received nearly 3,200 applications, which are expected to bring approximately HKD 95 billion in investment to Hong Kong, further strengthening its position as an international wealth management center. Over the past two years, the “New Scheme” has established a foundation and increased awareness in its first year, continuously optimizing mechanisms to achieve sustained growth and breakthroughs, fully reflecting Hong Kong’s competitive advantages in the global investment environment and market confidence in Hong Kong. The Invest Hong Kong agency and the Immigration Department have also continued to deepen cooperation in processing applications for the “New Scheme,” providing suitable convenience for applicants to invest and settle in Hong Kong.
