Abstract generation in progress

As of the week ending February 24, the total social inventory of asphalt in 104 domestic warehouses was 1.511 million tons, an increase of 11.5% compared to the previous period and a 4.5% increase year-on-year. During this cycle, most domestic social warehouses showed accumulation, with a significant increase in East China. Weak terminal demand and incoming ships contributed to the rise in social inventory. Data from the same period shows that the total inventory of 54 asphalt sample plants was 776,000 tons, up 15.5% from the previous period but down 8.9% year-on-year. Notably, inventories in Shandong and North China increased significantly, mainly due to stable production at local refineries and weak downstream demand, leading to a substantial rise in plant inventories.
