ROHM announced on February 26 local time that it will integrate its research and manufacturing technology for GaN power devices with the process technology of its long-term partner, TSMC. The plan is to establish a corresponding production system at the Hamamatsu factory by 2027 to meet the growing demand in applications such as AI servers.

IT House has learned that after the technology transfer is completed, ROHM and TSMC will amicably end their cooperation in the automotive GaN field. At the same time, both companies will continue to strengthen their collaboration, aiming to develop more efficient and compact power systems.
