Hamaney's death details revealed, Iranian media say he "died in the line of duty"

On March 1, two Iranian sources reported that Khamenei met with Shamkhani and Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, at a secure location shortly before the airstrike began. Previously, a senior Israeli official claimed that Khamenei’s body had been found. U.S. President Donald Trump posted on his “Truth Social” platform that intelligence agencies tracked the whereabouts of Iran’s Supreme Leader and subsequently killed him. Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei was killed in the attacks by the U.S. and Israel on Iran. Khamenei “died in his position at the Leader’s Office.” Iranian media stated that he was performing his duties at the time. The U.S. and Israel’s attack on Khamenei occurred earlier on February 28. Prior to that, some media outlets linked to Israel repeatedly claimed that Khamenei was living in a secret secure location due to “fear of assassination.” Iranian media said, “He died in his position, once again proving these claims are pure lies and enemy psychological warfare.”
