For ordinary people, there are three basic and simple purposes for reading every book and article:

a. Cultivating oneself, nurturing virtue, and developing good language and behavioral habits;

b. Solving one's own problems, exploring practical experience, and generating wisdom;

c. Solving others' problems, monetizing and earning money, and gaining power, wealth, fame, and people's trust.

Addressing personal character, virtue, and other human issues, as well as intangible problems like thinking, cognition, knowledge, spirit, emotions, attitude, and professional skills—these relate to fame, fortune, power, and emotional needs, which are material survival issues.
This book is not read in vain.

Reading without purpose, and failing to convert knowledge into intangible or material assets, is merely wasting time and losing ambition.
