I used to store NFT metadata on Arweave until I realized there are better options this year. Walrus has completely changed my understanding of on-chain storage.

The cost difference is the most obvious. Uploading a few GBs of AI datasets costs only one-fifth of traditional centralized cloud storage. More importantly, once data is on the chain, it remains permanently accessible without worrying about renewal fees. The implementation of Red Stuff encoding makes the entire interaction process smooth, and combined with Sui's high concurrency architecture, transaction confirmation delays are almost negligible.

From a tokenomics perspective, the utility of WAL far exceeds mere speculative value. I stake the tokens I earn, with an annualized return stable in the double digits. I participated in governance voting for the recent Storage Fund allocation proposal, and this genuine sense of decision-making involvement is hard to find in other projects.

The atmosphere in the Discord community is also very different. Active members are seriously building the product, and the core team maintains high-frequency interactions. Talus's AI agent is already using Walrus to store on-chain memories, indicating that demand has emerged.

If you only hold SUI but ignore the Walrus ecosystem, you might be missing an important opportunity. My initial investment started with a few thousand dollars, and now my position has multiplied multiple times. This is not due to short-term price fluctuations, but based on a simple logic: data in the AI era will inevitably move on-chain, and Walrus is becoming the infrastructure for this trend.

Wow, Walrus's cost performance is really amazing. I should have jumped ship from Arweave long ago.

Whoa, storage costs are reduced by one-fifth? That's a direct blow to the dimensions, no wonder they jumped ship from Arweave.

Wow, switching from Arweave to Walrus is really a one-way street. The cost is directly cut by one-fifth, and there's no need to renew the subscription until the end of time.
