【Crypto World】On January 14th, the Sui Network mainnet experienced several hours of outage, and transactions were temporarily unavailable. Various dApp applications were also affected. According to the team’s analysis, the root cause of the issue was that the validation nodes got stuck at the final confirmation stage of the blocks.
Interestingly, despite this turbulence, the ecosystem data still showed resilience. The total locked value (TVL) of the network recovered to approximately $1.05 billion, and the SUI token price also stabilized around $1.90, with a daily increase of 4.7%.
Currently, the core development team has initiated repair work, but the specific timeline for recovery has not been clarified. This incident once again reminds us that even leading public chains still need continuous investment in network stability and node operation.

If the validation node crashes, it goes offline. How low must its health factor be... How can a locked value of 1.05 billion still stay stable? I don't understand.

A few hours of downtime, so what? The key is that there was no dump, and SUI is quite resilient haha
Sui mainnet down for several hours: validator node failure caused transaction interruptions, team is urgently repairing.
