The Sui mainnet experienced a technical outage last night. The network experienced a stall, and the root cause was an issue at the consensus layer, which prevented validators across the network from syncing and producing blocks normally.
Many applications were affected. DApps like SuiScan and Slush are currently temporarily unusable, on-chain transaction processing speeds have significantly slowed down, and some are even temporarily stuck.
Sui officials posted an announcement on X, stating that the core team has quickly intervened to address the issue. They said they will expedite the development of solutions and will continue to update progress.
It is worth noting that the Sui ecosystem has seen quite a few recent developments. Some time ago, DeFi protocol Typus Finance was attacked via an oracle vulnerability, and the official has suspended related smart contracts. Additionally, the ecosystem game protocol Jackson.io just launched its native token $JACKSON, with a 24% release plan for the initial TGE event.
Overall, although this network outage caused short-term impacts on the ecosystem, the Sui team responded very quickly. Stay tuned for further official updates.

Another wave? Sui is testing our heart strength.
Typus hasn't fully recovered yet, and now there's a network stall... The ecosystem is a bit overwhelmed.
Fortunately, the response was quick, or it could have been a big problem.

Here we go again, is this about the consensus layer? Seems like Sui has been quite busy lately.
