Having experienced the ups and downs of the crypto world for nearly ten years, I have seen many projects fade away quickly, and a few quietly gain momentum. DUSK is a typical example of the latter — since its founding in 2018, it has not relied on marketing gimmicks to stay relevant for eight years, but has instead focused on refining technology and expanding its ecosystem step by step.

I started deploying in DUSK in 2020. At that time, it acquired a 10% stake in NPEX and announced plans to build a compliant digital asset exchange. Honestly, the general sentiment in the community was not optimistic — people thought crypto and compliance were enemies. But my logic was simple: for this market to truly take off, it must connect with the traditional financial system and follow a compliant route. So I took a small position to test the waters, and I’ve held on ever since. During this period, I experienced significant price corrections, but each time I saw steady progress — testing the mainnet, updating the roadmap, and launching an ecosystem fund.

What impressed me most was the launch of the DayBreak testnet in 2022. I participated in the testing; at that time, the features were still quite basic, but I could clearly sense its design philosophy — entirely focused on regulated financial scenarios. During that period, many projects were hyping concepts like the metaverse and GameFi, but DUSK was deeply cultivating privacy and compliance technology stacks. This non-conformist execution made me even more confident that this is a long-term direction worth paying attention to.

Later, it launched Citadel SDK and Rusk VM 2.0, with each version iteration solving real-world problems. This "doing things without boasting" style is particularly rare in the restless crypto market.

Projects that do things without bragging are truly rare. Most are still riding the hype, but I respect the DUSK approach. --- Eight years of refinement with little hype, how stable is that... I want to try it myself. --- Compliance is definitely the future; sticking to it is not easy. --- You can see from the NPEX move that they are playing a big game. --- I also tested DayBreak back then; it was indeed different, but I didn’t pay much attention at the time... now I kind of regret it. --- Privacy + compliance, this combination is brilliantly executed. --- The phrase "doing things without bragging" should be engraved in every crypto person's mind. --- Eight years of refinement without marketing makes it an outlier in the crypto world... which makes it even more worth watching. --- The key is truly delivering step by step, not just talking about it. --- DUSK’s style has become the biggest selling point in the crypto space.

Wow, this is true dedication. Working hard without shouting for 8 years, I really respect projects like this. Honestly, many people were criticizing the compliance route at the beginning, but I saw the potential and ended up earning quite a bit. Really, now everywhere is about concept hype, and projects like DUSK that focus on solid technology are becoming rare. Back in 2022, I also participated in testing. Although the features were simple, I could feel the pragmatic design approach. No hype, no negativity. Long-term, only projects like this can survive until the end.

Really, this kind of 8-year silent wealth-building project is truly conscientious compared to those trash coins that market every day... However, I have to say, while compliance is the right path, the gas wars back then really caused a lot of stress. Repeated testnet runs and on-chain verifications, how many gwei did miners tip away? Just thinking about it makes me cringe.

The compliance route was indeed mocked at the time, but now it seems this guy's vision is absolutely spot on. Really, being straightforward and not bragging is so rare; most projects are just bouncing between marketing and hype. Holding a small position since 2020 and sticking with it until now requires incredible conviction... I don't have that kind of resolve. Privacy + compliance is actually a tough combo to pull off, taking it step by step is more reliable. This is what true long-termism looks like, much better than projects that focus on marketing every day.
