Most people confuse total assets with liquid funds. Seeing wealth on a map is a different thing from carrying cash in your pocket. Having a high total net worth does not mean your daily cash flow is sufficient. Many assets are locked, such as real estate, investments, or long-term holdings. The public doesn't understand this and thinks everyone has easily spendable money. The reality is often quite different.
