Source: CryptoNewsNet Original Title: Meme coin trader flips $370 into $1.2M on WHITEWHALE Original Link: A trader with a wallet linked to a user known as “Remusofmars” on X has gained popularity in memecoin circles for turning an initial $370 investment in $WHITEWHALE tokens into massive unrealized gains, which peaked at over $1.2 million while holding most of the position.

The $WHITEWHALE token is a memecoin project linked to a high-roller trader who had a dispute with a major CEX over alleged predatory practices.

Remus spotted the potential of the token and bet on it, holding his position as the token went parabolic.

How did the trader turn $370 into $1.2 million?

According to Arkham, since the token hit a $150 million market cap, the trader has cashed out $220,000 and is still holding $987,000 of it.

However, he is not the only one who has made life-changing money from the token. The token has maintained its high market cap and is currently trading at $149 million.

Despite the Whitewhale character confirming the trader is not a team member, people still suspect he could be an insider.

The wallet reportedly invested $60,000 total, making it the second-largest holder before the token was taken over by the Whitewhale KOL/trader. The investment has snowballed into $2.5 million, and the wallet recently became active after weeks of inactivity, selling $1 million of $WHITEWHALE within 15 minutes while holding the remaining 2.5%.

The Whitewhale responded publicly to speculation, acknowledging his team has been tracking the wallet and attempted to reach out, expressing interest in an OTC deal to facilitate responsible selling and prevent dumps.

“It would have been impossible for it to have been an insider as on December 4th I didn’t even know I was going to do a CTO,” the Whitewhale wrote on X. He also claimed that team members only joined after his takeover and that the current team consists mostly of volunteers who are not holding the token.

Efforts to engage the whale have been unsuccessful. The Whitewhale has expressed confidence in having enough liquidity to absorb any sell pressure from further sales.

How did the $WHITEWHALE meme token start?

The $WHITEWHALE token was created in October 2025 by a random developer who allegedly posted racist content that angered the KOL who inspired it. The token’s lore was tied to a dispute between a major CEX and the KOL, which began after the exchange froze $3-5 million from his account in July 2025.

The exchange cited “risk control” violations, claiming he used bots/APIs after placing two orders in the same second—an allegation he denied, saying he did it manually.

After receiving no support response and facing pressure to admit wrongdoing, he escalated the dispute publicly. The story went viral on X as he provided receipts and launched a massive campaign with community support, including a $2 million bounty/NFT POAP initiative.

Famous crypto analyst ZachXBT amplified the campaign, sparking scrutiny against the CEX. In October/November 2025, the exchange’s leadership publicly apologized, released the funds, and promised reforms.

The KOL distributed much of the released funds to campaign supporters and charities, solidifying his hero reputation and inspiring the creation of the $WHITEWHALE token as a symbol of resilience against predatory CEX practices.

The token remained low for weeks, but on December 7, 2025, after gaining hype, the KOL conducted a community takeover to stop the developer’s actions and protect his reputation. The move caused the token to surge 90x to a $90 million market cap, and it has continued performing well since.
