After the CPI release, the probability of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates in April increased to 42%

On January 13, according to Jin10 data, on Tuesday, traders increased their bets, believing that the Federal Reserve might not wait until after Chairman Powell's term ends in May to cut rates, as the previous U.S. Labor Department report showed that core consumer prices rose slightly less than expected.
Although traders still believe that a rate cut in June is the most likely outcome, based on the latest data forecast, the probability of the Federal Reserve cutting rates in April is about 42%, up from 38% before the data was released.
