U.S. Senate FISA Section 702 Compromise Includes Fed CBDC Ban, Deadline Advanced to June 2029

According to cryptocurrency journalist Eleanor Terrett, today (June 3), the compromise final text of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) Section 702 proposed by U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Tom Cotton includes a Federal Reserve CBDC ban originally contained in a housing bill. The ban's termination date has been advanced from December 31, 2030 to June 12, 2029.
