U.S. Money Market Funds Hit Record $8.281 Trillion as of May 28

According to Crane Data and Bloomberg, U.S. money market funds reached a record $8.281 trillion as of the week ending May 28. The industry received approximately $66 billion in inflows during the week, with about $41 billion flowing in on Thursday as investors rebalanced portfolios ahead of month-end. Year-to-date, money market funds have attracted $172 billion in cumulative inflows.
