U.S. Military Strikes Iranian-Linked Tanker 'Lexie' with Hellfire Missile, Disabling Vessel on June 2

According to CCTV, the U.S. Central Command stated on June 2 that American forces struck the Botswana-flagged tanker 'Lexie' in the Arabian Gulf, disabling the vessel as it headed toward Iran's Kharg Island. The ship had ignored U.S. warnings and instructions for 24 hours and violated blockade measures, according to CENTCOM. A U.S. military aircraft fired a Hellfire missile at the tanker's engine room, causing it to lose propulsion and cease its voyage to Iran.
