U.S. Military Continues Naval Blockade on Iran Despite June 14 Ceasefire Deal

According to Xinhua, on June 15, U.S. military personnel broadcast radio messages in the Strait of Hormuz area stating that the naval blockade on Iranian ports and coastal regions remains in effect, and warned vessels not to attempt to break through. A sailor aboard a merchant ship provided the exclusive recording to Xinhua. This came one day after the U.S. and Iran announced a ceasefire memorandum on June 14, with formal signing scheduled for June 19 in Switzerland. U.S. President Trump ordered the immediate lifting of the U.S. Navy's blockade on June 14.
