UK FCA's Stablecoin Sprint Report Shows Cross-Border Payments as Primary Use Case on July 29

According to Cointelegraph, the UK Financial Conduct Authority's Stablecoin Sprint policy report released on July 29 identifies cross-border payments as the clearest near-term use case for stablecoins, while domestic retail adoption in the UK is expected to develop more slowly. Stablecoins show the strongest advantages in emerging markets with limited dollar access, though they offer limited benefits in major corridors with already fast, low-cost payment systems. The findings align with the FCA's final rules issued on June 30, which require UK-issued stablecoins to be fully backed by reserve assets and redeemable at par value.
