Trump's Investment Accounts Made 21,000+ Trades in 2025, Precisely Targeting Policy-Benefiting Stocks

According to financial disclosure filings released Thursday (July 2), Trump's investment accounts conducted over 21,000 securities trades in 2025, with a total value between $600 million and $1.86 billion. The trading activity concentrated on key dates following major policy announcements, particularly tariff-related measures. On average, the accounts executed 85 trades per day, with one-quarter of all trades occurring on just 10 trading days. On August 18, the accounts moved over $75 million in a single day, purchasing significant positions in Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, and other tech stocks. Notably, the accounts bought at least $250,000 in Intel stock days before the administration announced plans to invest in a 10% stake in the chipmaker; Intel's stock subsequently surged over 370%. The accounts also quietly accumulated MP Materials shares in May before the Pentagon officially announced a $15 million investment in the rare earth company, later realizing capital gains between $100,001 and $1 million from the position.
