Trump Administration Seeks 30-Day Voluntary AI Cybersecurity Testing Framework

According to Reuters, the Trump administration announced on June 2 a framework seeking voluntary agreements to allow federal agencies 30 days to test advanced AI models for cybersecurity risks before release outside the government. The Treasury, Defense, Commerce, and Homeland Security departments, along with other agencies, will secure the agreements and strengthen federal cyber defenses. Anthropic's Mythos model, which demonstrated strong cybersecurity capabilities in testing, is among the focus areas for evaluation.
