Sweden's Central Bank Holds Rates at 1.75%; Nordea Forecasts No Hikes for Rest of 2026

According to Nordea analyst Torbjorn Isaksson, Sweden's central bank held its key interest rate at 1.75% unchanged on Wednesday, with the institution unlikely to raise rates in the remainder of 2026 despite signaling a 50% probability of a 25-basis-point hike in the second half. The combination of subdued inflation and a stable Swedish krona suggests the Riksbank will remain on hold. Nordea maintains its forecast that the policy rate will stay at 1.75% through the end of 2026.
