According to the Sui Core Team, Sui Network resumed normal operations on May 30 after fixing three software bugs that caused over 15 hours of downtime across May 28-29, 2026. The first outage on May 28 lasted approximately 6 hours and 44 minutes, followed by two additional disruptions on May 29. A bug introduced in software version 1.72 affected the gas charging mechanism and caused validators to crash repeatedly. A second bug involving randomness data storage surfaced during network recovery efforts.

Throughout all three disruptions, user assets remained secure with no completed transactions reversed. The Sui Core Team deployed corrective updates, and artificial intelligence tools assisted engineers by analyzing system logs and network diagnostics to accelerate identification of the underlying causes and resolution.
