Sudan Market Hit by Drone Strike, 28 Dead and 25 Wounded on May 19

According to state broadcaster CCTV, a market in Kabeesh city, West Kordofan State, Sudan was struck by an unmanned aerial vehicle on May 19 at around 11 a.m. local time, killing 28 people and wounding approximately 25 others. The Darfur Victims Aid Organization attributed the attack to Sudan's armed forces. Eyewitnesses reported the strike targeted a military vehicle parked near a restaurant in the market center; the explosion and shrapnel injured bystanders in the vicinity.
