Spot Gold Falls 2% to Test $4,040 on July 23, Silver and Copper Decline Together

Spot gold fell 1.96% to $4,049.48 per ounce at New York close on July 23, dipping intraday to a session low of $4,040.27 before stabilizing around the $4,040 level. COMEX gold futures dropped 2% to $4,052.30 per ounce. Spot silver declined 3.60% to $57.5967 per ounce, while COMEX silver futures fell 3.99% to $57.895 per ounce. COMEX copper futures slid 2.40% to $6.3375 per pound. Spot platinum fell 2.25% to $1,597.20 per ounce, and palladium declined 2.86% to $1,258.35 per ounce.
