According to Macquerie Securities on May 9, SK Hynix’s Korean employees could receive average bonuses of approximately 6.1 million yuan per person in 2027 if the chipmaker achieves 447 trillion won in operating profit that year. The prediction is based on distributing 10% of operating profit as bonuses among approximately 35,000 employees at year-end 2025.
SK Hynix responded on May 9 that annual performance targets for 2026 and 2027 remain uncertain, making bonus projections premature. The company confirmed it has established a new system to allocate 10% of operating profit annually as performance bonuses, aimed at attracting talent amid intensifying AI semiconductor competition.
