Russian Crypto Investor Maxim Garbuzov Found Dead in Bangkok After 5 Months Missing

According to Foresight News, the body of Russian crypto investor Maxim Garbuzov was discovered in Bangkok's unclaimed remains facility on May 26, nearly five months after he went missing from Pattaya on December 24, 2025.

Volunteers stated Garbuzov died from falling from a hotel room. Thai police failed to locate the body initially due to a spelling error, leading to its placement in the mass grave. His family is now seeking to have the remains exhumed, cremated, and returned to St. Petersburg. Garbuzov had resided in Thailand for approximately two and a half years, working in crypto investment and exchange trading.
