Ripple Releases 1 Billion XRP in June Escrow Unlock, Valued at $1.33 Billion

According to Whale Alert, Ripple released 1 billion XRP across three transactions in its scheduled June 2026 escrow unlock on June 1, valued at more than $1.33 billion. The largest transaction unlocked 500 million XRP worth approximately $666 million, followed by 400 million XRP valued at about $533 million, and 100 million XRP worth roughly $133 million.

After the release, Ripple's locked escrow balance stands at an estimated 38.15 billion XRP. The company regularly re-locks unused XRP back into escrow, extending the release schedule. According to Messari data, the XRP Ledger closed Q1 2026 as the fourth-largest non-stablecoin crypto asset by market cap. Daily transactions on the network rose 35.3% quarter over quarter to 2.48 million, while real-world asset market cap reached a record $2.25 billion, up 124% quarter over quarter. U.S. spot XRP ETFs held 775.4 million XRP by quarter end, representing approximately 1.26% of circulating supply.
