According to BlockBeats, Prometheum announced on May 25 the launch of a digital brokerage solution for brokers and registered investment advisors (RIAs), enabling traditional brokerage accounts to directly offer tokenized securities and crypto asset trading, custody, and clearing services. Prometheum co-founder and co-CEO Aaron Kaplan said the crypto industry has solved the asset tokenization problem but not the distribution challenge, leaving billions of dollars in on-chain tokenized securities without access to mainstream investors through traditional broker channels. Prometheum holds SEC registration and FINRA membership and joined the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) tokenization working group in May.
