According to community channels, on May 14, Pi Network released Protocol V24 and extended the V23 upgrade deadline from May 15 to May 19. The extension was necessary because V23 involves a complete rewrite of existing database files, a process more complex than standard software patches. Node operators were advised to back up volumes before upgrading. The total token supply remains fixed at 100 billion PI, with Mainnet on-chain data publicly verifiable and traceable.
