According to China's State Administration of Taxation, more than 100 million taxpayers received tax refunds exceeding 150 billion yuan on July 28, as part of the annual income reconciliation process. Over 200 million taxpayers filed reconciliation returns, up 4.38% year-on-year. In the first half of 2026, personal income tax revenue reached 900 billion yuan, growing approximately 13% year-on-year.
