Nvidia Co-founder Jensen Huang Joins Tsinghua Advisory Board Amid China Chip Ban

According to Beating, Nvidia co-founder Jensen Huang has agreed to join the advisory board of Tsinghua University's School of Economics and Management. The move underscores Huang's efforts to maintain ties with China's business and policy circles despite U.S. export restrictions on Nvidia's advanced AI chips.

Huang's decision comes as Nvidia faces unprecedented challenges in China. The company's H20 chip was banned from sale last April, while imports of more advanced models face restrictions. Last week, Huang publicly acknowledged that Nvidia has ceded the Chinese market to domestic competitors including Huawei, yet stressed the company's three-decade presence and remains eager to serve China again.
