According to Axios on Wednesday (July 22), Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said Chinese open-source AI models are "very excellent" and American companies "should use" them. Huang warned that restricting open-source models could weaken U.S. competitiveness in AI. He stated that cheaper, more open AI models will drive broader adoption and ultimately increase demand for Nvidia chips and data center resources. Huang also dismissed concerns that open models would give China an advantage, saying "this cannot happen, the possibility is zero."
