According to a recent Business Insider interview, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated that the company's software engineers are experiencing a fundamental shift in their work—building AI agents has become a new core skill. "All of my software engineers now prefer to build AI agents rather than writing Python code," Huang said. He explained that AI technology enables engineers to reduce traditional coding work and delegate repetitive tasks to intelligent agents, transforming the role from "typist" to higher-level designers focused on agent construction, performance benchmarking, and safety mechanisms. Huang emphasized this work requires "imagination, creativity, and deep technical expertise."
