NPT Review Conference Ends Without Consensus on Outcome Document on May 22

According to UN session chair Dang Hoang Viet, the Eleventh Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons concluded at UN headquarters in New York on May 22 without reaching consensus on an outcome document. Four draft versions were submitted during negotiations, but despite maximum efforts, agreement could not be reached.
