Netanyahu's Washington Visits Drop to 1 This Year vs. 5 in 2025 as Trump Alliance Cools

According to Politico, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's direct engagement with the Trump administration has declined sharply. In 2025, Netanyahu visited Washington five times, but in the first half of 2026 he has visited only once, in February, and phone communication between the two leaders has decreased significantly. Vice President Vance told Israeli officials last week that Israel has few allies remaining globally and should not attack its remaining strong partners. According to multiple U.S. and Israeli officials, the reduced communication reflects a broader shift in the alliance, with Israel's status no longer prioritized above other nations.
