Mistral AI Plans to Grow Singapore Headcount from 40 to 100 by End of 2026

According to CEO Arthur Mensch, Mistral AI plans to increase its Singapore headcount from 40 to 100 employees by the end of 2026. The French AI startup will hire engineers, sales, and operations staff to position Singapore as its regional hub, primarily recruiting local talent while bringing in European employees to transfer knowledge.

Mensch told The Business Times that Mistral has already invested multiple dozens of millions of dollars in its Singapore operations since launching there in January 2025. This investment level makes Singapore the company's largest market in Asia Pacific, surpassing Australia and South Korea.
