According to Odaily, Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella published a lengthy post on X titled "A frontier without an ecosystem is not stable," in which he outlined that every company must simultaneously build two forms of capital going forward: Human Capital (employee knowledge, judgment, networks, creativity, and pattern recognition) and Token Capital (AI capabilities owned and developed by the enterprise).
Nadella emphasized that as Token Capital grows, Human Capital does not depreciate; rather, it becomes increasingly important. Human agency is the core driver of Token Capital growth, as humans set ambitious goals, connect information across domains, build networks, and identify meaningful patterns. Without human guidance, computational power merely spins in place. The real opportunity lies not in choosing the best model, but in building a learning feedback loop around it to allow both forms of capital to compound together.
