Japan to Send Government Officials to Russia by End of May to Support Domestic Firms

According to Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, announced on May 9, Japan plans to send government officials to Russia by the end of May to maintain communication channels and support Japanese companies still operating there. The ministry stated that protecting the assets of Japanese enterprises remaining in Russia is necessary and that the Japanese government has been maintaining government-level communications with Russia to support these efforts.
