Japan Finance Minister Proposes Including Government Bonds in NISA Personal Investment Accounts

Japan's Finance Minister Katayama Kojiro has proposed considering the inclusion of Japanese government bonds in the country's NISA (Nippon Individual Savings Account) personal investment accounts. According to the official statement, Katayama suggested that now is an appropriate time to explore expanding NISA eligibility to government debt instruments.
