According to Lebanese Culture Minister Ghassan Salameh, Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon today (May 29) are endangering multiple cultural sites, including the UNESCO World Heritage-listed ancient city of Tyre, which has suffered intensive bombardment around its historical monuments. Additionally, Beaufort Castle, a medieval fortress of significant historical importance near Nabatieh, was struck during the attacks, according to CCTV.
