Iran's Speaker: Hormuz Strait to Be Managed by Tehran on June 22

According to Iran's parliamentary speaker Ghalibaf on June 22, the Strait of Hormuz will be managed by Iran according to mechanisms set by Tehran in compliance with international law.

Ghalibaf stated that Iran and the U.S. have agreed to establish a coordination center and open a hotline to resolve issues within a 30-day timeframe. He clarified that the hotline is not for approving transit permits, which remain subject to existing procedures. The hotline is designed solely to address vessel problems or emergency situations.
