Iran Threatens Retaliation if Israel Attacks Beirut

According to Iran's Islamic Republic News Agency, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned on June 3 that if Israel continues military operations against Lebanon's capital Beirut, Iranian armed forces will resume fighting and strike targets within Israel. Araghchi stated that Iran has explicitly informed the United States that any Israeli military action against Beirut would be regarded as a full cessation of the ceasefire, which Iran "will not tolerate," and Iranian armed forces will respond accordingly.
