Iran Reiterates Lack of Trust in U.S., Maintains Ceasefire for Diplomatic Space on May 15

According to Jin10, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reiterated on May 15 that Tehran has no trust in the U.S. and will only consider negotiations if Washington demonstrates a serious and credible stance. Speaking at the BRICS Foreign Ministers conference, Araghchi stated that Iran is maintaining the current ceasefire to create space for future diplomatic efforts and de-escalation.
