However, Iran's Foreign Ministry quickly denied the report via the official IRNA news agency, stating that differences between Iran and the US remain profound and significant, with no imminent agreement and no discussions of nuclear-related details at the current stage.

Brussels and US crude oil fell over $2 per barrel earlier in the day, touching lows of $97.9 and $98.5 respectively, before partially recovering to $99 and $99.4 per barrel.
