According to Han Kyung, a South Korean financial publication, Intel's server CPU division saw operating margins surge to 39% in Q2 2026, up from 30% in the prior quarter, driven by growing demand from AI inference workloads. On July 29, Kiwoom Investment & Asset Management launched South Korea's first CPU-themed ETF, the "KIWOOM U.S. CPU Semiconductor TOP 4+," which includes Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, and ARM. Samsung Asset Management is set to launch a competing product, "KODEX U.S. CPU Semiconductor TOP 10," next month. CPU demand is accelerating as AI applications shift beyond model training to real-time inference and agentic AI, expanding CPU's role in data center infrastructure.
