Hyundai E&C, Daewoo E&C Target Prices Cut as Nuclear Order Timing Delays

According to consensus data from Yonhap Infomax, target prices for South Korean construction firms Hyundai E&C and Daewoo E&C have been downward revised over the past month, reflecting delayed expectations for nuclear power plant contracts. Hyundai E&C's target price range fell from 180,000–231,000 Korean won to 170,000–180,000 won, with the stock declining from 188,700 won in April to 106,200 won as of July 24. Daewoo E&C faced similar pressure, with five out of eight brokers cutting targets, as the stock dropped from 37,150 won to 15,300 won over the same period. Analysts attribute the adjustments to delays in major project order visibility, though expectations for overseas nuclear contracts remain intact.
