According to Axios co-founder Mike Allen, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said recently that the chip industry will not face a downturn in the near term. When asked directly about a potential collapse, Huang responded "No, not for now," and confirmed "this time is different."

Huang explained that current growth is driven by fundamental shifts in computing technology, not seasonal demand cycles. He stressed that global economies are building new AI infrastructure requiring massive chip investments, and believes the overall industry could expand five to tenfold over the next decade. He also noted that chip, land, power, and labor supply constraints actually extend the runway by slowing expansion, allowing time to build infrastructure before supply catches up with demand.
