According to Jin10, Houthis spokesman Muhammad Abdulsalam stated on July 24 that the Bab al-Mandab Strait has not been closed, and recently announced maritime measures target only shipping related to Saudi Arabia. The statement said the maritime blockade measures are in response to Saudi Arabia's restrictions on Houthis-controlled areas, aimed at pressuring Riyadh to accept a fair settlement.
