Google DeepMind Report: AI Can Offset Research Slowdown, But Physical Constraints Limit Super-Intelligence

According to Google DeepMind's latest research report, artificial intelligence can offset the slowdown in scientific productivity caused by rising research costs. Although the number of researchers required to maintain Moore's Law has grown eighteen-fold since the 1970s, digital intelligence can be infinitely replicated, allowing research resources to scale twenty-fold within hours. However, DeepMind identified five core bottlenecks limiting the transition to super-intelligence, with physical delays emerging as the critical constraint. Since new concepts require interaction with the real physical world to overcome embodied limitations, the verification process becomes bound by real-world experiment speeds, restricting recursive hardware improvements.
